We get it. Walking a nervous or reactive dog in busy public areas can sometimes feel unpredictable, and at times quite stressful.
Unexpected encounters with other dogs, unfamiliar people and passing traffic can make it unenjoyable for both dogs and their owners - making it difficult for them to relax.
We have carefully designed our private dog fields to offer a quieter and more controlled alternative, giving your dog the freedom to exercise, sniff and explore without unfamiliar dogs or members of the public creating distractions or interruptions.
Our fields have now been open for hire for multiple years, and have already provided many opportunities for owners to simply enjoy spending quality time with their dogs.
Secure Field Hire for Nervous & Reactive Dogs

Every dog is different. Some may become worried around unfamiliar dogs, while others can feel overwhelmed by people, noise, traffic or busy surroundings.
The field you hire is reserved exclusively for you throughout your session, allowing you to manage your dog’s environment more easily and enjoy your time together at a pace that suits them.
Within your private field, your dog can:
-
Move around without unfamiliar dogs approaching them
-
Enjoy off-lead freedom within an enclosed space
-
Sniff and explore at their own pace
-
Play with familiar toys or people
-
Practise recall and reward-based training
-
Build confidence in new surroundings
-
Take breaks whenever they need them
-
Enjoy their walk without being expected to interact with other dogs

🚫🐕
Fewer Unexpected Encounters
Public walks can be unpredictable, particularly when unfamiliar dogs are off lead or approach without warning.
During your session, no other field-hire customers or unfamiliar dogs will enter the specific field you have booked.
👃🌿
Time to
Sniff and Explore
Not every successful walk needs to cover a long distance.
Sniffing and exploring provide valuable mental enrichment and allow your dog to take in their surroundings at a pace that feels comfortable for them.
🎛️🧭
Control Over Their Surroundings
With your own enclosed space, you can decide how your dog uses their session and adapt the experience around their individual needs.
You can create distance, pause an activity or move to another part of the field without the same pressures found on a busy footpath or in a public park.
🎯🐕🦺
Training Without Public Pressure
A private field can provide useful space for recall practice, scent work, confidence-building activities and other reward-based training.
You can concentrate on your dog without worrying about someone else’s dog interrupting your session.
🐾🔓
Safe
Off-Lead Exercise
Some nervous or reactive dogs have limited opportunities to exercise off lead because of their recall, behaviour around other dogs or the unpredictability of public spaces.
Our enclosed fields provide a secure environment in which they can enjoy greater freedom.
❤️🐾
More Enjoyable Time Together
When fewer things need to be managed, both you and your dog have more opportunity to relax and enjoy the experience.
Private field hire is not only about giving your dog more freedom. It can also give you greater peace of mind.
Why Private Field Hire Can Help
🔒🌿
Exclusive
Use of Your Chosen Field
The specific field you hire is reserved exclusively for you and the dogs included in your booking throughout your session.
Although our other fields may be in use, no other field-hire customers will enter your chosen field while your booking is in progress.
🚧🐕
Solid Screening Between
Fields
Our fields are separated by solid, opaque screening, helping to reduce visual distractions if dogs are using neighbouring fields.
🔐🌳
Securely Enclosed Surroundings
Our fields are enclosed with fencing approximately 1.9 metres high. Our on-site car park is also enclosed, providing a more controlled place from which to begin and finish your visit.
How Distractions Are Minimised

Although all three of our fields are suitable for nervous or reactive dogs, Field Three is a particularly convenient option for dogs who benefit from a quieter, more manageable start to their visit.
Located close to our secure on-site car park, it offers the shortest route between your vehicle and the field entrance, helping to reduce the time spent moving through shared areas.
Field Three may be especially suitable for:
-
Dogs who find arrivals and departures stressful
-
Nervous or reactive dogs who benefit from a shorter access route
-
Confidence-building and reward-based training
-
Recall practice in a securely enclosed space
-
Dogs who prefer to explore without unfamiliar dogs approaching
