27/10/22 We are looking for passionate, reliable, hardworking, dog loving volunteers who can work great as a team to support our business! Roles would include general observation, care, and of course, lots and lots of playtime with the dogs! It's a great opportunity to receive hands-on experience in animal care, and to gain a unique insight into the general natures of dogs and how we provide our day care services. Above all, it's a great stepping stone towards potential paid employment, in a workplace unlike any other! Our knowledgeable team will be on hand to mentor and provide you with all relevant training associated with your role. Experience in a similar role is preferred, but not essential. 18/10/23 PART-TIME DOGGY DAY CARE ASSISTANT & DRIVER We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our passionate, hardworking, dog-loving team as a 20 HOUR PART-TIME DOGGY DAY CARE ASSISTANT / DRIVER. Are you a passionate dog lover, just like us? Are you hardworking and love a job with variety? Do you have 3+ years’ experience working with dogs? Do you currently hold a clean FULL UK driving license, which you've held for 10 years or more? If so, continue reading below, as the job vacancy we have available might just be for you! The Role Many agree with us when we say that working with dogs is one of the most joyful and rewarding jobs in the world – and it really is! Dogs come to The Bark Park to meet and socialise with other dogs, take part in exciting group activities, gain plenty of exercise and have heaps of endless fun – all whilst being looked after by our professional team to only the highest standards. The role will require you to display an initiative to always ensure the wellbeing and happiness of every dog in our care, whilst also being able to work effectively as part of a team to uphold our core values. Do you love a job with variety? Well, this role is brimming with it! Additional duties also include dealing with customers, assisting the team to wash the dogs on rainy days, capturing content for our social media channels, helping with general workplace housekeeping, and more. The role will also involve transporting some of the dogs in our own sign-written van. Some of our dogs are collected in the morning, from their homes in the local area, and returned at the end of each day. This duty will require you to be well organised, efficient, and trustworthy. Full training in every aspect of the job role will be provided. Candidate Requirements Our ideal candidate would be: - A passionate dog lover, who is a current dog owner themselves. - Passionate in providing outstanding customer service. - Punctual, trustworthy, hardworking, and well organised. - Knowledgeable in working with animals, particularly dogs, and be able to show a good understanding of their individual needs, behaviours, and requirements. - A great communicator and listener with a positive demeanour. - Local to the Ribble Valley, with a good understanding of the local area. - Familiar with standard workplace health and safety procedures. - Not be afraid to get their hands dirty and be happy to work mainly outdoors in all weathers. - Eager to learn new skills and benefit from additional training. - A creative person with attention-to-detail. - Already familiar with our business. The ESSENTIAL requirements for this job role are the following: - The candidate must have 3+ years’ experience working with dogs. Experience working with dogs could include having previously worked at another doggy day care facility, dog kennels, dog walker, etc. - The candidate must be a competent driver, with a clean FULL UK driving license. They must have also currently held their license for a period of 10 years or more. - The candidate must be adept and comfortable with driving a van. For reference, the van we currently use is a Mercedes Vito. - Must be physically fit. The job role may sometimes require some heavy lifting. - The candidate must have availability for work Monday to Friday between the hours of 8AM - 6PM. The PREFERRED (NOT ESSENTIAL) requirements for this job role are the following: - The candidate holds a suitable animal-related qualification in animal care, animal first-aid, etc. - The candidate has previously worked at a doggy day care facility and is already familiar with the policies and procedures required of a doggy day care establishment. This role is a part-time vacancy, with a minimum of 20 hours per week, on a rota basis. Salary: £11 per hour. Expected duration: Permanent. 27/10/22 Do you ADORE dogs just like we do? 🐶 Do you want to spend more time with dogs, but don't want the full-time commitment that comes with pet ownership? 🐕 Pads For Pooches is an established dog boarding service provider based in the Ribble Valley, working in close association with THE BARK PARK Doggy Day Care, Whalley. As our business continues to grow, we are beginning to expand our team of trusted, passionate and council licensed home boarders - people who are more than happy to open up their home as a holiday home for a client's pet(s) and to look after them whilst their owner is away on holiday, or away due to work commitments, etc. Suitable candidates must: ✅ Own a spacious home with their own garden ✅ Be physically fit - in terms of being able to walk, feed, and provide loving care for a client's dog as if it were their own ✅ Be an experienced dog person All shortlisted applicants will go through a one-to-one assessment conducted by ourselves. Although this may sound daunting, we will simply meet with you and get to know you on a personal level as we assess and confirm your suitability. We will take note of any personal interests or requirements that you may have, so we can tailor which types of dogs will be suitable for you to board. You will never, however, be obligated in any way to board any dog. That decision is completely up to you; we always take our home boarder's interests, preferences and suitability into account, and are always on hand to provide guidance and support. You will be able to reap the joyful benefits of owning and caring for a dog, all without having to worry about the full-time commitments of owning one yourself!
